Your appointment.

A typical enhanced eye examination with us lasts around 50 minutes. It may take longer if there are complicated conditions to address.

We prioritise patient comfort and care, and all examinations are conducted in spacious, air-conditioned consulting rooms offering complete privacy.  Our highly trained optometrists use the latest technology.

Here's what we look at:

CORE exam

-       Your eye history and any concerns/symptoms

-       How well the eyes coordinate and work together

-       Your prescription (around 20 tests are required to determine this)

-       Front of eye health check and photography (this is included as standard)

-       Inside eye health check

-       Eye pressure check

These checks take around 30 minutes.

ENHANCED exam

-    All of the checks making up our CORE exam, plus:

- 3D retinal laser eye scans and photography (Optopol)

-    Visual fields (Zeiss)

-    iProfiler mapping (Zeiss)

These additional checks take amount 20 minutes, and take place in our dedicated advanced equipment room. Note that our ENHANCED exam makes up the care component of all of our Eyecare plans.

What to bring.

Please bring your current glasses, and any old spare pairs, with you to your appointment. For contact lens wearers, it’s really helpful if you can come in wearing your lenses and bring a sample of the packaging so we know exactly what you are using. If you are a new patient, a copy of your current prescription would also be helpful if you have it.

REFERRALS.

We work closely with our eye surgeon colleagues and are contracted with many of the private medical insurers like Aviva and BUPA
